The Weight Loss Consultation Sixth Part, Part 6 of 7: Frequently asked questions (5 min|read)

Updated: Jul 24, 2023

You’re reading part 6 of 7 of The Weight Loss Consultation: Frequently asked questions.

1. “Can I pay in installments?”

We also proudly offer a six-month installment payment plan with zero interest. iI’s so simple…. pre-qualify you in minutes, so if you’re serious about weight loss, you can get started today.

2. “What happens when I am finished with the program? Do I gain the weight back?”

The intention is to lose fat and not lean muscle mass; you will not be gaining the weight back. Instead of some diets that cause your appetite to be suppressed, our program targets fat, and for that reason, you will be happy to know that you should not be gaining any weight back.

Studies that have run for more than a year show weight regain was no more a problem for those who lost weight rapidly than those who lost it gradually. In fact, rapid weight-loss dieters lost and kept off far more weight.

An Australian study that put 200 obese volunteers on an 800-calorie rapid weight-loss diet for 12 weeks found that not only did they lose more weight than steady dieters, but four years later they were still leaner.

No one who goes on a diet intends to put the weight back on, but it can happen. You should weigh yourself regularly and if you find you are regaining pounds, you should act quickly to stop it from progressing.

A few pounds can soon turn into a lot of pounds. The problem is usually societal pressure, so it’s essential to surround yourself with like-minded people. Your environment can affect you.

While on this diet, you will learn what to eat and what not to eat for weight loss. You will learn what foods work for you by experimenting with the diet. Moreover, because we promote a wellness lifestyle, hopefully, what you learn stays with you.

3. “Isn’t exercise the best way to lose weight?”

Weight loss cannot be done with exercise alone. Nutrition is by far the most effective method of achieving weight loss. Up to 80-90% of fat loss is achieved with what you eat.

We do, however, want you to be active and recommend walking or low-intensity exercise to keep your metabolism boosted and maintain muscle. Muscle is essential for metabolism.

Additionally, when you’re heavy, exercise is bad for your joints and could result in injury. You would need to run for about 36 miles to burn off a single lb of fat.

The other problem is that people often reward themselves for exercising by having a treat. If you run for a mile, you will burn about 120 calories, but if you then decide to eat a small bar of chocolate, you will consume 240 calories.

4. “Does this program interfere with my medication?”

Our program is an all-natural solution that absolutely does not interfere with medication.

Everything we do is natural and does not include diet pills or phentermine like many other weight loss programs.

However, not everyone can or should get on a weight loss program.

5. “Do I get support? Is there accountability?”

Of course. We advise you to come in for weigh-ins and follow-ups. We would love to show you how many pounds you lose but, more importantly, the inches.

Accountability is essential; we are your cheerleaders. Call us anytime, or visit us anytime. You don’t have to do this alone.

6. “Will I have cravings?”

Willpower is essential, but it can also be overrated. Create an environment around you, work or home, that helps support you.

6. “What about my diabetes and high blood pressure?"

You must check in with your primary care physician once you lose weight. Many patients come to us with diabetes and high blood pressure medication.

Our goal is to help you reduce medication. We have seen many patients in an incredibly short period show significant improvements.

7. “How fast until I see results?”

This is what makes the program great. The results are quick, and you could quickly lose up to 7 pounds in a week. We have seen people lose even more.

Your energy levels will increase, and stress will decrease, but more importantly, you will be very motivated and tell all your friends about this program.

8. “Is it safe to lose weight quickly?”

Yes, on both accounts! Losing FAT fast is healthy, and you will immediately see substantial benefits from this program. That being said, rapid weight loss isn’t suitable for everyone.

We provide supplements and accountability here to help you lose weight fast. We believe losing weight slowly is very demotivating and can be torturous.

It is a widespread belief that losing weight fast will put it on even faster.

In a recent review article titled “Myths, Presumptions, and Facts about Obesity” in the prestigious medical journal, The New England Journal of Medicine, researchers put this claim firmly into the “myths” category.

After looking at numerous studies which have compared rapid with slow and steady weight loss, they concluded that you would do better to lose it quickly rather than slowly.

A recent Australian study backs up these claims. Researchers took 200 obese volunteers and put half of them on a low-calorie diet (less than 800 calories a day) for 12 weeks. The other half were asked to cut their calories by 500 daily (enough to lose around a pound a week). They were asked to do this for 36 weeks.

There was a very high drop-out rate among the steady dieters: less than half made it to the end of the 36 weeks. Most said they gave up because they were frustrated by the slow rate of progress.

By comparison, more than 80% of those in the rapid weight loss program stuck to it.

They were then followed for three years. Although both groups put some weight back on, the amounts were similar.

Katrina Purcell, a dietician who led the study, said, “our results show that achieving a weight loss target is more likely, and drop-out is lower if losing weight is done quickly.”

9.Should I weigh myself every day?”

Weigh yourself several times a week. In a recent study, they followed 40 people attending a weight loss program. Some weighed themselves daily, others weekly, monthly, or hardly.

They found that the more often people weighed themselves, the more they lost.

10. “What happens if I skip a snack?”

It’s OK to skip a snack. We don’t want you to be hungry for the program. You don’t need to eat if you don’t want to.

However, do know that not eating enough will slow down your metabolism.

11. “What if I don’t take the supplements and do this program? Will I still lose weight?”

Yes, you will still lose weight. However, it will be a much more difficult diet. Unfortunately, food isn’t what it used to be 50 years ago. Supplementing your diet with our supplements is recommended.

Weight loss programs, whether you do them alone or not, do not address the metabolic factors necessary for weight loss.

The supplements support your appetite, help balance hormones and boost your metabolism. Coupled with our support system and accountability, you’ve got what you need to get started.

12. “Why is this better than pre-packaged foods?”

We do not advocate pre-packaged foods. Most pre-packaged foods are full of preservatives and artificial ingredients. What will you do once you are off these foods?

With SOZA, you will be eating natural foods, low-calorie but nutrient dense. We want you to learn what foods to eat today and always.

13. “Is it necessary to go natural in my personal care routine?”

Why not?

You don’t have to go 100% natural but use more natural than artificial products. A wellness lifestyle will almost guarantee healthy living now and in the future.

What you put on your body is similar to what you put in your body. Furthermore, it’s great to care about the environment and sustainable living.

14. “Should I keep a journal?”

Yes, we encourage that.

Several studies have shown that people who keep food journals are more likely to be successful in losing weight and keeping it off.

We took the below paragraph off of WebMD. Our new manuals toward the end of 2019 will include a food journal section.

Keeping a food diary instantly increases your awareness of what, how much, and why you eat. This helps you cut down on mindless munching, says Megrette Fletcher, MEd, RD, executive director of The Center for Mindful Eating.”

15. “Is there a guarantee?”

We don’t advertise rapid weight loss if we didn’t think it could be done. There are many testimonials online, and the program has been around since 2011. Since we are a litigious society, we cannot use the word guarantee.

You have to follow the program properly and use the supplements correctly. We can guarantee that we will do our best to help and support you.

16. “Will I have loose skin?”

You shouldn’t have loose skin. The program intends to have fat loss and not muscle loss. You don’t have to lose weight this fast, and we can always low down your weight loss.

17. "Are there any side effects on the program?"

Looking great!

OK, the side effects could include some constipation which can be remedied by drinking more water, more fibrous vegetables, and/or a laxative.

18. "Can I restart the program if I need/want to lose more weight?"

Yes, you can, but we recommend you take two weeks off before starting again. The two weeks off will include low-carb to slow-burning carbs but increasing your good fats intake, specifically omega-3 fats.

We may at anytime experience "diet fatigue." Where we feel we may need to take a break. In fact, a study called the MATADOR study showed that people benefit from taking breaks and starting again.

19. "Do men lose more weight?"

Yes, they do. Men lose more weight because they have genetically more muscle mass.

Men have 16x more testosterone than women, and women have 9x more estrogen than men. These hormones show that men build muscle quicker, have more muscle, have a faster metabolism, and therefore can lose more weight.
